益虫团队包括了二星瓢虫、六星瓢虫、七星瓢虫、十二星瓢虫、十三星瓢虫、赤星瓢虫、大红瓢虫，不管是幼虫还是成虫，都是肉食类的，而且都对消灭蚜虫与蚧壳虫相当厉害，人们都称它们为“活农药”。
另外的害虫小帮派包括了十星瓢虫、十一星瓢虫、二十八星瓢虫，它们特别喜欢成群结队地爬在作物上，例如茄子，马铃薯，柑橘，梨树或桑树上，啃咬叶子，咬出一条一条的伤痕，让作物大大被影响和减产。
